No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How We Collect Consent
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are collected via explicit web form submission at https://zapmyspam.com/signup or within the user settings dashboard. Consent is optional, requires checking an unselected checkbox, and is not a condition of purchasing any service.
Opt-Out Rights
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from ZapMySpam at any time by replying "STOP" to any text message received, or by contacting privacy@zapmyspam.com. Reply "HELP" for customer support.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information when you create an account or use our services:
- Account information: your name, email address and, if you choose to provide one, your mobile phone number.
- Call logs and message headers processed for spam interception: caller numbers, sender details, timestamps, and threat scores for calls and texts we screen on your behalf.
- Spam activity data: records of blocked, flagged, or trapped calls, texts, and emails, including sender details and threat scores.
- Scambot call data: recordings, durations, and transcripts of calls answered by our AI decoy on your behalf.
- Data removal data: requests we submit on your behalf to people-search and data broker websites.
- Billing information: subscription status handled by our payment provider; we never store full card numbers.
How We Use Information
- To intercept spam: filter and block spam calls, texts, and emails before they reach you.
- To provide two-factor authentication (2FA) verification codes and deliver security alerts you have opted into.
- To operate the AI Scambot decoy and track how much scammer time it wastes.
- To submit and track data broker removal requests on your behalf.
- To send transactional messages you have opted into, such as security alerts, verification codes, and threat digests.
- To manage your subscription, billing, and usage limits.
- To improve and secure our services. We do not sell your personal information.
Data Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and row-level security so your data is only ever accessible to your own account. Payment processing is handled by our PCI-compliant payment provider, and phone-system credentials are stored in an encrypted secret vault accessible only to our servers. We retain spam activity data for as long as your account is active; deleting your account deletes your data.
Cookies
ZapMySpam uses only essential cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in and to keep the app functioning. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not share cookie data with advertisers or marketing brokers.
